Room Bookings Policy for Non-Teaching Activity

The Room Bookings Policy for Non-Teaching Activity [PDF 62KB] outlines the process for booking rooms for events such as public lectures and conferences and all event organisers at QMUL should consult the policy when planning an event before booking rooms or facilities.

The Room Bookings Policy for Non-Teaching Activity [PDF 62KB]

The policy also explains the circumstances where charges for the use of rooms or facilities would be applied, and which teams are responsible for administering different types of room booking requests. The policy was revised in April 2014 to include two dedicated event categories for research conferences or workshops which are delivered in conjunction with an external organisation or body, but where the subject of the conference/event can be clearly aligned to QMUL research outputs.

Many thanks for providing such an excellent event last night. Many colleagues commented on how much they appreciated the excellent food, the wine, and the care that was taken to ensure everyone was comfortable and felt welcome
Professor Morag Shiach, Vice-Principal and Executive Dean

I wanted to thank the hospitality team for all their hard work in catering for the conference, of which I was the local organiser. The conference dinner in particular was excellent and the lunch, dinner, tea, and coffee arrangements were very satisfactory. In particular, many delegates remarked on how cheerful and helpful the staff were - and this is not the case everywhere. Congratulations and thanks again
Professor Michael Moriarty, School of Languages, Linguistics, Film
